I haven’t spent a lot of time with the device, but I’m happy to say that it was immediately recognized by Windows 7 and it works in LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio) as a MIDI controller. I plugged it in, launched LMMS, selected the Actions for this track button and selected MIDI > Input > USB Midi.
