Luckily this chair was a gift, and I did not fork out the bucks for it… because I would’ve been even more disappointed than I am. Granted, it’s pretty to look at, if not a little strange (why is the top so large? No child’s head needs that much room?). And, my child is just 3 months old, so maybe it will be a bit more functional in the coming months. But, as of now, it’s a dud.
First off, it is a very large chair. I needed a high chair with wheels so that I could move my child with me at certain points of the day. But, the size of this monster makes it cumbersome, not to mention that the wheels are tiny and spin in circles. Much more difficult than say a …. wobbly shopping cart? And the wheel locks tend to lock on their own sometimes. So, in the middle of me transporting my kid around the house, the wheels suddenly lock and I end up having the drag the weighty chair around instead of gliding from room to room. And FORGET moving this one on carpet. Not happening!
Additionally, although it reclines, it is absolutely NOT suitable for a newborn! It does not recline flat enough, so my baby, who is rather tall for her age, ends up folding over on herself. And the harness/seat belt is not made to be lied upon as it’s very hard, thick material that stabs her in the back. But, without a harness, she can’t sit in the chair b/c she’ll just tumble out. ??? Furthermore, the fabric on the seat is a slippery coated material, so that increases her inability to remain in the chair. Instead, she just slowly (sometimes not so slowly) sinks until she’s nearly falling out of the chair.
Now, I’ve read the other reviews and see that the problems only get worse over time: difficulty cleaning, tray removal issues, etc. So, I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing this chair, no matter how much they slash it down in price from it’s original retail value (TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS!). Money would be more wisely spent on a better designed chair. Common sense, not just aestetics!
**edit**
Thanks to the other commenters for their criticizing, if not outright mean, remarks. I’m truly surprised by the venom of some of these reviewers. You would think that varying opinion would be more respected here. As if I’m writing this to offend anyone??? No, I’m just trying to help others out.
And, I am here, five months later, to reiterate that this chair still doesn’t meet my needs. I put it in storage and recently took it out again to see if it would be more useful. I’m still not impressed. This chair goes back in storage, and eventually on Craigslist. Hope someone else likes it.
It is still a very pretty chair. But, the size is quite overwhelming if you need to move it around. And, I do need to. When I am preparing meals, it is convenient to have her near me in the kitchen. Then, when it’s meal time, I’d like to move her to the diningroom with everyone else. Sadly, this chair doesn’t move very well because it is very large. AND… as I noted earlier, the locks on the wheels tend to activate on their own. So, I’m constantly having to bend down to unlock them before moving. Or, I push on it and end up unintentionally jerking the chair. Not fun for baby!
Also, I’ve notice how the chair tray gets dirty. There is a removable top that is washable in the sink or dishwasher. But, the heavy base tray is only hand washable and has very uncleanable crevices. Food gets stuck in the seams and without scrubbing with a toothbrush, doesn’t come out. I need something that cleans up a little easier.
Finally, the straps are very coarse. I’m not sure why they used such a stiff and thick nylon material. I have many other baby seats that have a much silkier strap. This one is very abrasive. And the buckles are also very large and cumbersome. I think this also seems uncomfortable for baby.
All in all, I’ve given this chair a fair shake, and I’m still not loving it.

This is a beautiful Collection Fisher Price has come up with. I have yet to use it as my baby boy is not due until May. But I am very happy with this purchase.

I’ve used it for a month now. My 6 month baby loves sitting in it. It matches our dining table and it’s so easy to use and clean. would definitely recommend.

Babies have not been born yet but family did lots of research before selection was made. Product looks like a winner for our anticipated twin grandchildren. Prompt service was appreciated. Thank you.

This is a great high chair! My 5 month old daughter loves it and she knows that it is time for food when I put her in it.
It was very easy to assemble and I did it by myself in under 30 minutes.
I would definitely recommend this chair to anyone!
