I was under the impression that there was a recall on this product. I sent ours back after our 2 month old son nearly fell out. I realize they always say “never leave infant unattended”, but it didn’t take very long for our son to scoot himself back in the seat causing it to be top heavy and nearly dump him out head first. Because he was very active in his pushing and squirming, I didn’t want to take a chance on this happening again and risk the inevitable backflip onto the tile floor. Fisher-

price was good about taking it back and refundung my money. Needless to say, they were very concerned about the possible safety hazzard. Within weeks we received a recall notice on this very swing (even though ours was returned). Parents beware!

I extremely love this swing. This swing absolutely my life safer. I have a 6 days old newborn when hurricane IKE hit Houston.

I’m a first time mother, I don’t have experience in taking care of newborn, and I am worried if a baby cries all the time.

When the hurricane hit, our house was out of power and we cannot open our window. Our newborn cried all the time and wouldn’t go to sleep because it’s so hot without AC and NO air flow at all and we can only use baby gear that use batteries. We tried to put him on bouncer, nursed him, changed diapers, sang to him, fan him with hands, we even tried to swing it with our hands, basically we tried everything we knew to make him stop crying and nothing works, but once I put him in this swing, he slept like a lamb.

At first, I was so worried to put a newborn baby in a swing, since nothing worked, we decided to try this swing and I used the lowest setting and it worked. We monitored him all the time to make sure his head didn’t fall.

We are very2 happy with this swing. I think my son loves the music. It’s very calming.

We were out of power for a week and this swing is our life safer, even until now. Now he is almost 5 weeks old, and he is happy when we put him on a swing. The hanging toys makes him very attracted.

We even tried another fisher price swing when we stay at our friend’s house (I forgot the name of the swing, it’s soft yellow color), but my son hate it, he still cry. I think my son is a very picky baby, he wants a calming music, attractive toys and great swing and this is the best swing ever. Very easy to assemble and lightweight. I really recommend this swing.

I heard from 2 of my friends that their babies hate swing and prefer bouncer. Both of them have 2 baby girl. Their babies got scared when they put on a swing, but my baby boy loves it so much. My son hate his bouncer. Probably it depends on the baby too.

My daughter is having her second baby and this is her second swing. The other one just like this one got much wear and tear with 3 babies. It was such a sanity saver for all of the parents of the babies who used it. It is easy to transport to Nana’s house or anywhere in the home.

I love the compact size of this swing and the ease of putting it together. However, I absolutely HATE the toy bar and if I had known that once installed it is a permanent fixture, I would’ve tossed it back in the box before I even considered using it. Once on – it’s on forever. It’s in the way despite swinging out of the way, the toys can fall off pretty easily, and it’s just ugly overall. Other than that, the mechanics of the swing are wonderful, it’s light-weight, steady, compact, easy to fold away, takes up little space, and the rest of the design is very nice.
