Mine is not a review but a question
I need some thing portable for my son 1 month old. He uses swing in home, but soon we will be away from home for a month, I am looking for a portable bouncer/rocker with can be easily packed for travel.
After assembling will I be able to disassemble?
Thanks in anticipation of response

My son is 12 months old and this toy is supposed to grow with him but I put him in it since I am supposed to keep him immobile. So I sat him in this rocker, strapped in. He leaned over just a little bit to reach for a toy on the floor and he was on the ground with the rocker on his back like a turtle shell. Now there is a kickstand option where it won’t rock and I can test it out to see that he doesn’t flip in it but not now while he has the fracture! However… considering that this toy is supposed to grow with your child it surprised me that this happen. Maybe I am wrong and should have not left it in rocker mode but the product doesn’t say anything that I should not put him in it the way I did. I thought it was safe. I think I have enough commen sense to judge something like this (I hope so ) but he did flip over in it. Just wanted to warn any of you that may have this toy. I was in the room with Marcelo when this happen. I didn’t just leave him there but it happen so fast and unexpectedly. He was fine and nothing happen but I am supposed to keep him safe so he doesn’t snap that little fracture into two. A fall like that could have done it. But he is just fine. I may test it out with the kick stands (maybe not) but if I do it will be in a couple months when he is fully healed. Actually I really don’t make him sit in it at all…. since he is so mobile crawling around. I just put him in it because I’m supposed to keep him from standing up and falling.
Anyway, I am ranting now but I just wanted to warn all of you about this product. I did call fisher-price and documented a formal complaint as well. They were very gracious and offered to take the product back and refund me full price but for now I said “no thank you” because I really loved this product and the idea that my daughter can use it too. However… I could take up their offer at any time.
I recommend this toy WITH CAUTION. It is a cool toy but best for babies that are not moving much and for toddlers that can sit in it and get up from it independently. Any age in between use with caution. I have had 3 mommy friends confirm that the same has happened to them; one of them her daughter was 6 months old. Being on the floor I doubt major injury can occur but if using it for that in-between age use with the non-rocker option and pull the little legs out.

My son is fairly active and when I sat him in this chair he reached forward to his feet. If I had not been close he would have crashed onto his head. I called fischer=price and they blew me off. If anyone’s kid gets hurt because of this VERY dangerous product I will be happy to testify!

The idea for this seat is ingenious! How often do baby products prove useful through the toddler years? This item does. Colorful and sturdy–more substantial when used as a bouncy chair when comparing thickness and structure of bottom rails to typical bouncy chairs. We use the vibrate feature often for our little man and it is still running on the same battery. One thing that could be improved: the adjustable height feature for the back of the seat some times doesn’t “lock” into place the first time, so be mindful of this if your baby is in the seat when you adjust it. Overall, many great features, multipositional, and a product well worth the money because of it’s potential for long term use.

This chair earns the gold star for “most-used infant item” in our house. It was a lifesaver when our munchkin had her first newborn stuffy noses and had to sleep propped-up. Before she was rolling over, she enjoyed sitting upright in this chair to watch the world go by. The straps were safe and secure. Extending the legs into non-rocker mode made this chair stable even if she rocked forward. We gave the chair a little vacation during her very active creeping-and-crawling stage. But now, at 16 months, she is again using it as a TV chair.
The product is soft, sturdy, and versatile. Assembly was easy. The plastic is heavy and sturdy, but the chair is light and compact enough to move around the house with one hand. The seat’s microfiber cover is easy to remove and machine wash on cold/gentle cycle. Colors are nice and cheery. Toy bar is good quality and it swings out with smooth action. For conversion to a toddler chair, the designers thoughtfully provided pull-through slots in the seat so you can stow the straps. Love it, love it, love it.
