We have this, we’ve used this once. All it does is make the straps cuter. It doesn’t add a function to make it useful. If there were plastic non-slip strips inside them, then yes, that probably would be useful and stay in position of the harness.
The only plus is that my son LOVES the laugh and learn series.
If you’re looking to use this to prevent chaffing from the straps – please look elsewhere.

These are cute and they were inexpensive but they slide around and my child was able to take them off himself.
