We’ve used this chair (the green meadows chair) for three months. On first impression, we thought it was a great chair. It bounces very easily, using only one foot, and is also relatively compact, light weight and moves easily around the house. However, after several weeks, we found two large flaws:

    1. The metal support legs present a tripping hazard. The legs at the front bottom extend outward about 6 inches from the chair and then quickly taper back in line with the contour of the chair as they move to the back. These protrusions are dangerous when the chair is on the floor. I have tripped over it several times, once injuring my toe badly and turning it black for a week. Other members of my family experienced the same issue when we took it with us on a vacation with extended family. In my home we don’t wear shoes in our house so toes are easily damaged.

    2. The activity bar (with the snail, frog and chicken) is poorly designed or poorly manufactured. We’ve used other chairs and find that our baby has a particular interest in faces. The faces and interesting detail on this model face outward – not toward the baby. The snail has a set of eye and a smile on only one side – the side NOT facing the baby. The chicken hangs with its rear end facing the baby and the face looks outward at the parents. I have tried moving the arrangement of the items, the bar and how the items are placed on the bar. There is apparently no way to change this without damaging the equipment.

Unfortunately I think we’ll be taking this model to the recycling center and applying our experiences with this one to select a better model.

I bought this bouncer for a baby gift… and was very difficult to find a “girl” bouncer

We got our bouncer from another family member and we have had a few problems.

    1) EVERYONE trips on it. At first I thought that my boyfriend was just not paying attention or that the space we had it in was too cluttered, not true. There is something about the design that is deceptive depth wise.

    2) The stupid flower is huge and hard and not removable.

    3) My daughter (3 months old) is very long I guess because she can bang her heels on the plastic control panel. We have resorted to sticking a towel under the padding so that it hangs over the switch.

Other than these issues we have loved this bouncer. I am however buying a new one, the Fisher-Price Soothe n’ Play Bouncer because it has more padding on top of the switch.

Although the seat is cute and functions as it should… my problem with it is that the batteries do not last very long.
